This is the perfect day to give a round of applause and a pat on the back to the volunteers who make up The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park.
This waterfront gem wouldn't be the welcoming and attractive part of the city that it is without the efforts of this group. The next time you enjoy the park consider making a small donation of your time or money to the all-volunteer group that makes it a better place.
