The snowdrops have been up for weeks and some crocuses, pansies, and heather are already in bloom.<\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #888888;\">(Click a thumbnail to choose an image in any order you like. You&#39;ll stay right here on this page.)<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sometimes the freelance life lets you stretch your long weekend by an extra day or, at least, fit in more fun around your work hours. It was that kind of weekend for us.&#0160;<\/p>\n<p>We began with a trip to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centralsquarecambridge.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Central Square, Cambridge<\/a> for lunch on Thursday. The afternoon began at <a href=\"http:\/\/marychung.com\/en\/\" target=\"_self\">Mary Chung Restaurant<\/a> for a bit of Szechuan heat. (Stay tuned! Details on that will pop up tomorrow.)<\/p>\n<p>We strolled home with stops at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centralbottle.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Central Bottle<\/a> to stock up on cheese, bread, beer, and wine for the weekend and <a href=\"http:\/\/flourbakery.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Flour Bakery<\/a> for two pieces of their fabulous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonzest.com\/2011\/07\/flour-boston-cream-pie-a-big-hit.html\" target=\"_self\">Boston Cream Pie cake<\/a> to honor a friend&#39;s birthday. (And, to tease him with another reason to miss Boston from his new home in San Francisco!)<\/p>\n<p>Friday afternoon found us at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coppaboston.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Coppa<\/a> enjoying a few of our favorites\u2013 including<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonzest.com\/2011\/11\/coppa-italian-grinder-a-best-bite.html\" target=\"_self\"> this Italian Grinder<\/a>.&#0160;<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, we shared a tray at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetcheeksq.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Sweet Cheeks Q<\/a> and added a new favorite side dish that will also be featured here in the days ahead.<\/p>\n<p>We ran into lots of friends in lots of places and had some down time at home with a bit of great wine and home cooking.
