While you might expect an Old English Sheepdog<\/a> to enjoy herding sheep, Sunday Dog Abbie is actually a cat-herding sheepdog! Even though she began life on a farm, she\u2019s terrified of the animals, but absolutely loves cats! <\/p>\n

This friendly six year old is also very intelligent. She even picked-out her own name! Her person, Jenny, originally tried others but got no response. \u201cSo, I opened up a book of baby names and Abbie was one of the first names I read. She looked at me and I said, \u2018Okay, that\u2019s your name.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

You may have seen Abbie around town. She comes to work every day with Jenny, a groomer at Pawsh Dog Boutique & Salon<\/a> here in Boston. You\u2019ll often run into Abbie relaxing in her job as unofficial shop greeter.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it, Abbie likes to be wherever Jenny is, especially when it comes to water sports! <\/p>\n

\u201cAre you sure I can\u2019t paddle for a while?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We\u2019ve learned that Abbie is taking kayaking lessons and seems to be right at home on the water. Is there anything this talented sheepdog can\u2019t do? <\/p>\n

There\u2019s something very special about Abbie, a friendliness and warmth. Maybe it\u2019s also the feeling you get when you meet her and look into her eyes.<\/p>\n

Jenny told us that, \u201cAbbie\u2019s eyes are very human. People tell me, all the time, that Abbie looks like a person in a dog costume.\u201d Maybe. But, I can\u2019t help but wonder if Abbie thinks we\u2019re really dogs in a human costume!  <\/p>\n
