Nika is a stunningly gorgeous Siberian Husky whom we\u2019ve had the pleasure of knowing for years. And, while it doesn\u2019t seem possible, at eleven, she has become even more beautiful.<\/p>\n

But, Nika\u2019s allure goes well beyond her ice-blue eyes. It\u2019s a fusion of many admirable bits that sets her apart. Even as a very playful puppy, \u201cshe was able to sit and be quiet,\u201d her person recalled. \u201cShe had this kind of regal look.\u201d There\u2019s a centeredness, what some might call a Zen quality, about her. <\/p>\n

\u201cBecause she\u2019s a Siberian Husky, I felt she needed to have a Russian name.\u201d We agree that Nika suits her well. It\u2019s pretty with just the right amount of mystery and calmness to it.    <\/p>\n

The American Kennel Club<\/a> describes the Husky as: \u201cagreeable and outgoing … suitable for anything from sledding to therapy work \u2026 a great all-around dog.\u201d <\/p>\n

Others<\/a> use words like: \u201cintelligent … affectionate \u2026 more companion than pet.\u201d Her best friend, who writes short stories, put it best, \u201cNika will sit with me, just be with me. She\u2019s wonderful company.\u201d <\/p>\n
