I didn\u2019t know that a dog could actually become a doctor, but after meeting Boomerang, I\u2019m convinced that this little guy really knows his stuff!<\/p>\n

At just six years old, he\u2019s already an experienced, certified Therapy Dog with a very busy schedule. Dr. Boomerang sees psychiatric and heart patients at Tufts, holds individual therapy sessions at nearby schools, and stops to see residents of an assisted living facility \u2013 where he\u2019s a BIG favorite. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not surprising that a Miniature Schnauzer<\/a> has found such success in this vital and demanding profession. The breed is often described as intelligent, alert, and friendly \u2013 all qualities you\u2019d expect in a good doctor. Throw in spirited, obedient, and fearless, and they\u2019re also traits that make for a loving companion. <\/p>\n

Whenever Boomerang is not making rounds, this energetic terrier loves to wind down by going for a walk. And, there\u2019s nothing better after a long stroll than a treat, or two! <\/p>\n
