A wine has to have special meaning for us to take it with us to Provincetown. This year a bottle joined us there in spring and another will join us with friends to toast August.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3a510eb200b-popup\" onclick=\"window.open( this.href, &#39;_blank&#39;, &#39;width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0&#39; ); return false\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P1010641\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3a510eb200b img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3a510eb200b-500wi\" style=\"width: 500px;\" title=\"P1010641\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We must explained the name of this lovely Rose\u0301.&#0160;<em style=\"line-height: 1.2em;\">&quot;Fa\u00ecve, from the Venetian dialect, are the small&#0160;gilded&#0160;red tongues of flame and sparks rising towards the sky from a&#0160;great fire, lightly and freely carried by the wind.&quot; &#0160;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonzest.com\/2014\/10\/brix-wine-shop-makes-our-nino-franco-dreams-come-true.html\">Sylvia Franco<\/a> told us the&#0160;pronunciation&#0160;is Fie-EE-vay!<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3854847200d-popup\" onclick=\"window.open( this.href, &#39;_blank&#39;, &#39;width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0&#39; ); return false\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P1010651\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3854847200d img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad3854847200d-500wi\" style=\"width: 500px;\" title=\"P1010651\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our stash of&#0160;Fa\u00ecve was hiding in plain sight on the top of a bookcase. We&#39;ve been rationing this harder-to-find wine. But the time has come to enjoy&#0160;this special bottle&#0160;and share the experience with friends. Then we&#39;ll go hunting for a new supply!<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad38548ad200d-popup\" onclick=\"window.open( this.href, &#39;_blank&#39;, &#39;width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0&#39; ); return false\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"P1010650\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad38548ad200d img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb88834022ad38548ad200d-500wi\" style=\"width: 500px;\" title=\"P1010650\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is what Nino Franco says about this special Rose\u0301 from their collection:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wineList\">\n<li><strong>&quot;Variety and Grapes:<\/strong> 80% Merlot 20% Cabernet Franc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vinification Technique:<\/strong> Short skin and must contact at a low temperature to obtain the right colour. The first fermentation in steel tanks and the second one in \u201ccuve close\u201d.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type:<\/strong> Rose\u0301 Brut.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colour:<\/strong> Rose petal -like pink.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flavour:<\/strong> Perfume of small red fruits. Mineral and floral notes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taste:<\/strong> In the mouth, pleasurably fresh. Dry with soft tannins and persistent bubbles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Matching:<\/strong> Well paired with mortadella, meat and mushroom dishes, fish or vegetable soups. Excellent with \u201cLasagna\u201d, \u201cParmigiano&quot; or the typical Italian dish \u201cvitello tonnato\u201d .<\/li>\n<li><strong>Serving Temperature:<\/strong> 6\u00b0 &#8211; 8\u00b0 degrees&quot; (~ 43\u00b0F &#8211; 46\u00b0F)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While we are enjoying this old friend from our wine rack, we hope you&#39;ll pull a bottle you have been saving and join our sparkling resolution as we toast the new month of August 2018.&#0160;Trying wines from&#0160;different places, made with different grapes, and produced by&#0160;different methods adds spice to our monthly ritual.
