This time of year, the deep treads in the boots we wear to keep from slipping in snow and slush come home filled with goop of all sorts.<\/p>\n

A few years ago, we talked our building management into providing boot scrapers at each entrance. This does cut down on most of the slush and snow we might track on the carpets and even bring into our home. <\/p>\n

But, mud is another matter and can fill those gooves and stick around. Our solution is to clean out the muck with disposable chopsticks. <\/p>\n

Normally, we try to say, "No thank you," when offered disposable utensils with food. However, chopsticks are another matter. We have a lovely collection of regular chopsticks for dining, but the wooden ones in the little red packages are welcome for other uses.<\/p>\n

We use chopsticks for drying dog boots.<\/a><\/p>\n

For an improvised cooking system.<\/a><\/p>\n
