This Commonwealth Avenue building set out some sacrificial boards to take the brunt of the snow slide to come.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, on the avenue, this stairway was damaged. We passed when emergency crews were pumping water out of the basement.<\/p>\n

A few doors away, a banister was taken out by a seriously large icicle.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, over on Newbury Street, we expected this snow formation to be short lived, but it survived for a few days last week.<\/p>\n
