It wasn\u2019t until we\u2019d arrived on-Cape and had begun to unpack that she realized it was actually their ros\u00e9, which we hadn&#39;t tried. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the long drive, we quickly settled in and treated ourselves to a couple of glasses of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.champagnedecazanove.com\/uk\/wines\/index.php\">Charles de Cazanove Ros\u00e9 Champagne.<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our first reaction, \u201cImpressive!\u201d Penny said this bubbly had, \u201ca little bit of the yeasty flavor that I love in Bollinger and the flavor of the fruit without the sweetness of added dosage.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb8883401bb088934c3970d-popup\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_8578 - Version 22015-10-04Charles-de cazanove-rose-champagne-\u00a9 2014 Penny Cherubino\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00e54fc42bb8883401bb088934c3970d img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb8883401bb088934c3970d-500wi\" style=\"width: 500px;\" title=\"IMG_8578 - Version 22015-10-04Charles-de cazanove-rose-champagne-\u00a9 2014 Penny Cherubino\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles de Cazanove Ros\u00e9 is a blend of 15% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 15% <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coteaux_Champenois_AOC\">C\u00f4teaux Champenois<\/a> Rouge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winemaker describes a \u201c&#8230; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">volume, fullness and strength on the palate, with good substance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis ros\u00e9 has a lovely salmon-pink colour and delicious candied fruit and rose petal aromas.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb8883401b8d16f2b29970c-popup\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_4464 - Version 22015-09-30Charles-de cazanove-rose-champagne-\u00a9 2014 Penny Cherubino\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00e54fc42bb8883401b8d16f2b29970c img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/bostonzest.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00e54fc42bb8883401b8d16f2b29970c-500wi\" style=\"width: 500px;\" title=\"IMG_4464 - Version 22015-09-30Charles-de cazanove-rose-champagne-\u00a9 2014 Penny Cherubino\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a cocktail glass, I thought it looked like an inviting mixed drink. It was a great match with Chef Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s super light, olive oil potato chips.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also had it with a good Cabot cheddar, some pretzel chips, and a fresh loaf of French bread.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charles de Cazanove Ros\u00e9 Champagne, a very satisfying way to start a vacation and this&#0160;new month.
