This year, the main fireworks barge is lined up across the river. The small boat in the foreground is a State Police patrol keeping everyone away from the workers preparing the show. The photo above was taken on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.

In past years, the main barge was stationed parallel to the shore with a T-shaped extension on the Cambridge side.
