The icy cool water from this hydrant on Berkeley Street would be a little more welcome when the temperature rises about 50 degrees. Ed took photos of this gusher and the resulting flood on the Mall's walking path yesterday. He didn't see anyone ready to jump and play in the spray.
No one took the opportunity to splash in the wading pool created on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall. Perhaps this was an effort to convince Mother Nature that we are ready for warmer weather.
Here's hoping that soon we'll be back photographing people enjoying the fountain at the Christian Science Center.
